Part 2

Sloan lay in bed thinking over what had happened that day, and more importantly that night.  Her relationship with Tom had gone from an unspoken, wary attraction between them to a passionate almost consummated relationship in just one day.

Sloan had never felt like this before, it was frightening and exciting at the same time; he made her a whole person. The day he had come into her life he'd made her realize that she had been living only as a half person, that she needed another human being to share her life with. But that was the problem, he wasn't Human, he was Dominant.

She wanted it to work so badly, but there were doubts in her mind. To start with there was the biology of the thing, although she had to admit they hadn't had any problems on that part, at least not so far.

Sloan suddenly thought of Tom with other women, other human women and shuddered , it made her feel terrible to think of him with another woman, Human or Dominant.

But he had been with other women, she knew it.

Although he had never willingly spoken of it, especially in front of her, she knew that he had seduced many human women during his work as a Chameleon. And although he could not remember much of his past it was unlikely that a man of his looks had remained a virgin even before he had used sex in the program.

Sloan sighed, she would probably just be a disappointment to a man of his experience, he would want a woman who knew how to please a man in all ways carnal, and she, Sloan certainly wasn't all that well up on sex.

Still he'd seemed to enjoy her touch tonight, Sloan still felt warm at the thought of his body against hers, the way he'd thrown her up against the wall, no man had ever done that with her before, hell if anybody else had done that she would have been livid. But Tom hadn't made her angry, Tom made her exited.

Tom felt her presence the second she entered the building, she was apprehensive, as soon as she entered the room he realized that he was the cause of the apprehension.

Tom smiled. Humans! Could she not tell that he was hers, that he thought of no other, that he had never thought of another like this before? To a Dominant it would be obvious, but Sloan was no Dominant, in fact to his pleasure last night he had discovered her to be delightfully submissive to his touch. 

"Hey guys anything new?"

Ed was too engrossed in working on some tissue samples to take much notice of Sloan, he just raised his head and shot her an affectionate grin. And said….

"You know, the usual stuff, Dominants are trying to wipe out Humans, Humans are trying to wipe out dominants…….. How come your late anyhow? Late night? Out on the tiles again, if I know what you're like!"

Sloan made a feeble smile at Ed's joke and nodded a thanks to Tom as he handed her a coffee.

"Actually she was with me last night."

The amusement disappeared from Ed's eyes and suddenly the slides held no interest as he glared at Tom.

"Oh, and what exactly were you doing with her to make her late for work, huh Tom?"

Ed's voice was deceptively  light hearted, but he could not fool Tom. Tom knew that if it was going to work out with Sloan he would have to make sure there was no interference from Ed, that Ed knew that Sloan belonged to him and no-one else.

"I took her out on a date, then dropped her safely home, I suppose we were quite late, I'll make sure I get her to bed earlier next time."

Ed got to his feat and looked like he was going to start a fight over Tom's outrageous and obviously innuendo laden comment, but was stopped in his tracks as Sloan upon hearing Toms words had begun to choke on her coffee.

Before Ed could reach Sloan, Tom was at her side. He gently pattered her on the back and draped one arm around her shoulders. When she stopped coughing instead of removing his arm he pulled her around so that they were face to face.

"Are you ok Sloan?"

Sloan looked into his smouldering  blue eyes and gave a nervous laugh.

"Yes, I'm fine, fine, you 'know just drank my coffee to fast, happens all the time, it wasn't like it was anything you said, not that you'd think it was anything you said, just coffee.

"You know I've been meaning to cut down anyway, I think I'll go and get some juice won't be long."

Tom let her slide partially out of his arms, then pulled her gently back towards him and planted a light kiss on her mouth. He found her so sexy when she was embarrassed.

"I think I'll come with you."

Ed just glared at the two of them as they left the room.  How could Sloan have fallen for Tom?

It wasn't that he hated Tom or anything, in fact he had a grudging respect for him, it was just that he had always thought that Sloan would eventually fall for him the way he had fallen for her so many years ago.

But Ed was no fool he had seen the way she looked at Tom, the way he looked at her, they were definitely in love and there was just no stopping love, even if it meant breaking his heart.

Ed groaned, hell if Sloan wanted Tom, then Sloan would have him although Ed wasn't sure if they'd make it on their own, however with a little help from Ed the love Dr, his Sloan would be happy. Even if it was with a rude dominant rather than him!
